"It is increadible to think of this Holocaust surviving former Nazi concentration camp inmate, how he had the perseverance and tenacity to reconstruct his life, after enduring unspeakable torture and
humiliation as well as dehumanization in the Nazi extermination camp at
Mauthausen
during WWII,"
- Gordon Liddy as he interviewed Dr. Lakner, the author of From Mauthausen to the Moon.

" We are all greatful to have heared the author of From Mauthausen to the Moon about his fascinating and curageous battle with the Nazi regime narrated in his discussion and portrayed in his thrilling book,"

"With gentelness and eloquence while sometimes fighting back tears, Dr. Lakner, a Nazi concentration camp survivor from Mauthausen death camp and a former NASA scientist, spoke this morning and explained the dubious connection between two major events of the 20th.Century - the Holocaust and landing a man on the moon.
He described how former German Nazi rocket physicist Dr. Wernher von Braun, a ranking SS officer involved in using slave laborers, worked alongside top Jewish scientists at NASA to launch America's space program. Although Dr. Lakner's book is a novel, he emphasized that it is historical fiction with the principal character in the book, Alfred Hammer, a witness to the actual historical events described in the book. I was utterly moved by the presentation."

"Among his goal in writing the book was to shed light on the
contribution so many people could have made to better mankind had they
not perished in the Holocaust."

"It was an extraordinary lecture, the author revealing the inner
psychological strength and willingness of the principal character to
survive and help the allies during WWII, in fighting the Nazis; the
speaker related his own experience during his incarceration at
Mauthhausen extermination camp and his tenure at NASA, as he
contributed to Apollo, the American Lunar Landing program. I strongly
recommend this book, equally to the young and older generation."

From Readers
"I just finished reading -after a Marathon session- this very
entertaining emotional fictionalized historical novel; I can say very
sincerely: BRAVO! You managed to blend real history and facts with
fiction with an extraordinarily versatile imagination. Mauthausen to the
Moon, is a "thriller", a saga of the XX Century of horror and
redemption."
- Serge Zimmmer, Montreal Canada.
"I thoroughly enjoyed your wonderful novel in one sitting. I COULD NOT PUT IT DOWN! Among the memorable characters, my favorite is Yury from Chapter 26. Obviously, the planet needs more compassionate people like him. Indeed Alfred was able to accomplish some great things with the help of Yuris of the world."
